Oil and pastel on canvas
50 x 40 cm
Home:
This drawing was inspired by my childhood. My parents divorced when I was a child, and my mother became the one who raised me mainly, she supported me and my whole family, as well as my grandma. So I believe that every mother has quality and original features like a beast. Then I redefine the female character in this work.

Little emotions:
I try to explore some of the connections between humans and natural creatures and try to express my recent desire for nature and A state of inner peace.
You can see In addition to her fluttering hair, the woman's face replaced her facial features with something else, like animal, rains, grass. The luminous represents a beautiful yearning and dream.

The way home

Oil on canvas

The way home
A woman wearing high heels, but the shadow is also a beast. What I want to express is a sense of contrast. Because most of the shadows I usually see about women, appear in a slender and wonderful form, so I want to depict a different from my experience and perspective.

Home 2
I extended some elements from my paintings to the ceramics. focus on the home. This family has been through a lot like wind, rain and tornadoes, year after year. Its cracks make it look more storytelling.

Oil on canvas

Drop
I want to build a world in raindrops. Raindrops are an important element in the work I do, they can be a macro climate or a magnified emotion. I put flying birds and a running female figure into the raindrops to reflect my attitude toward the pursuit of freedom in all things.

I often use the printmaking workshop as a practice for the first draft, building a picture in my brain at first, this way will let me inspire something new based on the original idea in the printmaking workshop, combined with the special way of painting and different texture, and these practices will become my preparation work before I put it on the canvas.

Methods, processes, materials

At the sketching stage, I usually don't limit myself to one approach because I find that the same black-and-white sketch is different in terms of the effect and texture presented by different materials. For example, I often use etching and mono print, which differ from pure hand drawing in that the difference in ink consistency affects the background coloration when pressed onto the paper, which is not included in my preset effects. It will bring something new to the table, which will also allow me to continue to bring it in for the final canvas.

During the progress stage of the picture, as a lot of detail of human or animal limbs is needed, I will look for or photograph myself as material in advance so I can refer to it. Additionally, I will adjust my final effect to take into account the color needs of my image.

In addition to the oil on canvas works, I advanced the material I have always been interested in, ceramics. Unlike the initial exploration period in Unit 1, I have been able to explore the material with a lot of detail in my paintings. Unlike the initial exploration phase of Unit 1 with small pieces of ceramics, I attempted to build a larger body of work in the ceramics workshop and created Home 2. Its multi-faceted like another hand-painted carrier allows me to better express the combination of painting sense and ceramic texture. The only flaw is a small amount of cracking due to the unskilled use of white clay, but when I put a light source inside, it becomes so unique and gives the hut more of a sense of storytelling.
