​Roots:

During this time I also experimented with creating images in the mode of photography combined with digital painting. These four photographic digital artworks, presented as black and white images with a dreamy and surrealist style, explore themes of my memories of home, my mother's murmurings, man and nature, and inner struggles. My images suggest vague memories of childhood and home through claustrophobic tree branches, looming light and shadows, and a recurring narrative of dreams. The hut symbolizes belonging and mother's shelter, while the footprints represent the process of searching or getting lost during my study and expedition, presenting a psychological struggle between the past and reality. The conflict between darkness and lightness, softness and hardness in the images tries to convey the struggle and contradiction I feel when trying to retrieve my lost memories and self in modern life. Ultimately, I hope that these works lead the viewer to think about the deep resonance and inseparable connection between the individual and nature, home and motherhood.
